Chant

Learning to sing, on your own, with feedback

Progressive web app In development

About the application

Chant teaches singing in autonomy. Exercises are graded from complete beginner to confirmed singer and cover the fundamentals in order: breathing and support, posture and release, pitch accuracy, placement and registers, articulation, then interpretation.

The learner sings into the phone microphone. The app analyses the recording - pitch accuracy, rhythm, stability, breath - shows what happened visually and turns it into the next thing to work on. A guided test at sign-up finds the learner’s range and transposes the material accordingly.

The repertoire is graded the same way, so each song is chosen for the skill it exercises rather than for its popularity. Sessions are designed short - fifteen to thirty minutes a day on a smartphone.
